The hiring comes as the social network continues to grow its user base and improve its customer service offerings.
The LinkedIn blog post also detailed how the company plans to increase the number of full- or part-timers across its business, including as a result of the hiring of new hires.
“As we continue to build our team, our goal is to build and grow the business with the best possible talent, while continuing to meet the needs of our customers and help our users succeed,” the blog post said.
“We’re excited to bring more people on board and look forward to hiring even more people in the future.”
The hiring of full and part time employees has increased LinkedIn’s workforce by about 100 people in 2016, according the company.
LinkedIn has more than 3,000 employees across a number of industries.
The blog post added that LinkedIn has also added new roles for people with diverse backgrounds, which has made the company more appealing to potential hires.
As part of its effort to grow the company, LinkedIn will be hiring new employees in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, according an update on LinkedIn’s blog.
“The breadth of our workforce makes us the perfect partner for LinkedIn,” the company said.
